Trekking holidays in the Pustertal Valley mountains and its lateral valleys
A symphony of meadows, wood and gentle mountain ranges in front of the fortissimo and the clear fanfares sound of rejoicing peaks and ridges of the Dolomites on one side and of the Zillertaler Alps on the other.” For those who don’t know the Pustertal and its lateral valleys like the Antholz / Anterselva Valley this would be a proper description.
In the course of their weekly hiking tours the tourism boards of our holiday region would like to invite you to feel out this wild and yet cultivated land. Climbers can try over 1.000 peaks higher than 3.000 meters and excursionists will enjoy the marvelous mountain landscape in the sun.
Trend and lifestyle
Do you still think it’s silly to use walking poles? Why don’t you try them out during your Kronplatz / Plan de Corones holiday? The amazing thing about Nordic walking is that 80 % of the back, chest and arm muscles are worked out, whereas in conventional walking without poles these parts of the body are often neglected totally. Using your arms usually increases the walking pace. The faster pace improves the cardio-vascular function. The arm movements intensify your breathing and thus enhance the oxygen consumption. Furthermore, poles take some of the strain off your legs and joints. Nordic walking is the perfect sport for people of all ages and heights and can be practised anywhere at any time of the year and without major effort. What’s more, the body burns 400 calories per hour compared to 280 in poleless walking!

Sport and relax
Summer sun and water belong together, just like ice cream and floating pool toys. Swimming facilities are provided at the Panorama outdoor swimming pool in Welsberg, the heated outdoor pool in Olang, the Cron4 in Riscone-Reischach and the Spiagetta Ciamaur bathing beach. In fact, Venice is not the only place to have a lido. In the Ciamaur river meadow about 1.5 km outside S. Vigilio di Marebbe-St. Vigil in Enneberg the river shore has been planted with grass and trees and newly designed with a children’s adventure ground, benches, tables and a sandy beach. So who wants to travel to Venice if they can lie on the beach amidst the Dolomites?
